1.1. The operator of the website www.portamundi.org (hereinafter referred to as the ‘website’) is porta mundi AG (hereinafter referred to as ‘porta mundi’). Data protection is important to porta mundi and it is fully compliant with the applicable data protection laws and regulations.

1.2. This policy describes how porta mundi handles personal data, and in particular, how the personal data of a website visitor and/or customer (hereinafter referred to as ‘user’) is processed and for what purpose. It also describes how that data can be reviewed, corrected or deleted at the user’s request.

1.3. This policy does not extend to any external links that lead to third-party content. These will be covered by the data protection policies of the respective third-party content providers.

porta mundi respects the privacy of the user and will not collect any personal information (such as name, address and email address) unless:

• the data has been voluntarily provided by the user (specifically first name, last name, address, mobile number and email address);
• or the data was collected automatically by cookies (see section 4 for more information).

3.1. Data provided by the user to porta mundi may be used as follows:

• to perform tasks and manage the contractual relationship; and
• to better understand the users’ needs for marketing purposes and to improve porta mundi’s services.

3.2. Access to personal data is limited to those employees and sales and collaboration partners who need to know this data. The persons and companies concerned are obliged to maintain confidentiality and to comply with the applicable data protection laws. porta mundi will never sell or otherwise market personal data to third parties.

4.1. When visiting the website, information may be automatically stored on the user’s computer. This is done using ‘cookies’ or similar tracking tools that help porta mundi to understand visitors’ preferences and improve its website.

4.2. Most browsers allow users to delete cookies, prevent their installation or generate a warning before a cookie is installed. The user can obtain further information in this regard from their specific browser settings.

4.3. porta mundi will use the cookie data for statistical purposes only and will not link it with any personal data provided to porta mundi.

5.1. porta mundi uses third-party web analytics services to evaluate the use of its website. Personal data may also be transmitted to these third parties in the course of using these services.

5.2. Google Analytics is a web service provided by Google Ireland Ltd and Google Inc, USA, (‘Google’). Google Analytics uses cookies (text files) which are stored on the user’s device to analyse how they interact with the website. The information generated by the cookies (including the user’s IP address) is transferred to a Google server in the USA and stored there. Google will use this information for the purpose of evaluating website usage, compiling activity reports for website operators, and providing other services relating to website activity and internet usage. Google will also transmit this information to third parties, if necessary, provided this is stipulated by law or third parties have been commissioned by Google to process such data. Google will not link the user’s IP address to any other data provided by Google under any circumstances. Users can disable the use of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings on their browser, but this may result in the user not being able to access the full functionality of the porta mundi platform. By using the porta mundi website, the user agrees to their data being collected by Google and accepts that the data will be processed as described above for the purposes stated.

6.1. porta mundi has adequate security measures in place to prevent the loss, misuse or alteration of information and personal data.

6.2. The user is aware that data transmissions on the internet are not secure. Once porta mundi has received the information transmitted, it will store that safely.

7.1. The user may, at any time, request a copy of their personal data or ask to see information on the use of said data from porta mundi. Furthermore, porta mundi will correct or delete this data at any time at the user’s request. In the event of such a request, porta mundi will be required to verify the identity of the user. Requests can therefore only be processed if they are accompanied by suitable proof of identity (copy of identity card or similar).

porta mundi reserves the right to modify this data privacy policy at any time in accordance with the law.

The user can access, download, save or print this data privacy policy at any time.
